Carlsberg-Tetley's SAP team has been awarded the SAP Global Customer Competency Centre (CCC) of the Month for March.
This award places Carlsberg-Tetley's SAP CCC team within an elite group as only the second UK & Ireland organisation to be recognised. The team was accredited as a SAP CCC in June last year after working with SAP for three years.
Head of the SAP CCC team David Dixon commented: "The SAP CCC at Carlsberg-Tetley has worked very hard over the last three years to establish itself. It is very satisfying to receive an award that recognises this hard work and confirms the team as a role model for other companies".
The 16 employees on the Carlsberg-Tetley SAP CCC team support the breweries in Northampton and Leeds, and15 distribution centres. The SAP CCC team is focused on strategic, tactical and operational elements to ensure co-ordination of business strategy, business processes, information technology, organisation and people.
The new business project went live during 2003. As well as informing free trade sales development managers about the existence of prospective customers, the system provides a tool for capturing important contact, brand, sales and financial information that is not available from C-T's SAP system. By combining external customer data and SAP customer data in one reporting system (Business Warehouse) the project has further provided the sales and marketing teams with a powerful tool to better understand their customer base and more effectively target future activity.
To acknowledge this achievement, a formal presentation of the award will take place in March.
