Carlsberg Bulgaria has been awarded with a gold medal and certificate for high quality for its Shumensko Red beer brand at the International Consumer Goods and Technologies Fair held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on 9-14 May 2005.
Companies from 40 countries were represented at the 25th anniversary edition of the Fair.
More than 13000 participants took part on the six day exhibition. "Shumensko Red" achieved the maximum top score of 156 points after a confidential vote of the reputable commission of food and drinks technologies specialists. "The award is a well-deserved achievement and recognition of the efforts of all Shumensko brewery employees and the top quality of our product", said Alexander Grancharov, CEO Carlsberg Bulgaria, when receiving the medal.
The Bulgarian vice-minister of Economy, Valentin Parvanov, was VIP guest at the closing ceremony and presentation of the medals.
National and all Shumen region media covered the event after a press conference at the Shumen brewery on 17th May announcing the news.
