The UK Corporate Purchasing team has been short listed in the National Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) awards.
The awards celebrate excellence in purchasing. Carlsberg UK joins an elite few from over 170 entries, against difficult competition.

"We are going head-to-head with well established organisations including HSBC, Vodafone, Royal Bank of Scotland, O2 and GlaxoSmithKline to compete for an award at the national ceremony on 10 October," said head of purchasing Paul Denney.

"The nomination shows the significant contribution made by Corporate Purchasing to the wider business," he added.

"Over three years we have met our savings target of £7m. The nomination shows that the category management approach we have adopted is not only successful in meeting financial targets, but is regarded by our peers as best in class. We are now looking forward to building on this success and hope to go on continuing to add real value to the business."
