Carlsberg UK is investing £10 million in a new high-speed bottling line, which is to be installed in the Joshua Tetley Brewery in Leeds. Work on this new project will start in October 2004.

The new line, which will be able to fill 60,000 bottles per hour, will help satisfy the fast growing consumer demand for Carlsberg and Carlsberg Export. Both lagers received a massive boost during the Euro 2004 tournament, which saw Carlsberg UK become the second largest brewer in the Country during this time.

The new bottling line will create 12 new jobs to commence in January 2005.

Work on preparing the building to house the line has already started. The first bottles off the line will be in early June 2005
