Carlsberg UK is sponsoring an exhibition of Copenhagen’s famous Carlsberg Ny Glyptotek collection at the Royal Academy this autumn. The exhibition ‘Ancient Art to Post-Impressionism’ will be the first time the outstanding collection, which includes works by artists such as Monet, Sisley, Degas and Gauguin, has been seen outside Denmark. Carl and Helge Jacobsen – descendents of the founder of Carlsberg - built up the collection over a period of 50 years from the late 1870s. It was one of the largest private art collections of its time.
