Carlsberg is launching a review of its media planning and buying services and media agencies in Europe.

The review process, which should be completed by the second quarter of next year, will focus on agencies in Carlsberg's major European markets.
Four incumbent agencies will be taking part in the review: OMD, Mediacom, Initiative, and Zenith Optimedia.

"Our relationship with the agencies will be on a 'business as usual' basis until the review has been completed," says Alex Myers, Vice President, Marketing and Innovation at Carlsberg.

"The review process will help us to optimise the service levels for strategic and day-to-day support, and ensure competitive buying in all markets."

Alex Myers will be leading the process together with key marketing directors from subsidiaries.
