Significant improvement in profits in Western Europe and BBH. Profit outlook adjusted upwards. 

  • Net revenue climbed 8% to a total of DKK 19.3bn (DKK 17.8bn in the first half of 2005), thanks to progress in all regions. In local currencies, net revenue climbed 7%.

  • Operating profit rose by 30% to DKK 1,722m (DKK 1,328m in the first half of 2005) as a result of an improvement in activities in Western Europe, and increased earnings in BBH as the integration of the Russian breweries begins to generate the expected synergy gains.

  • Carlsberg's share of net profit was DKK 1,052m, against DKK 314m in the first half of 2005. 
  • The full-year outlook for operating profit and net profit is being increased by DKK 200m (to approx. DKK 3.75bn) and DKK 150m (to approx. DKK 1.8bn) respectively.
