Satisfactory start to the year driven by improvement in earnings in Western Europe.

  • Net revenue climbed 6% to a total of DKK 7.8bn as a result of positive contributions from the growth markets in BBH and Asia. In local currencies, net revenue climbed 3%.

  • Operating profit rose by DKK 105m to DKK 83m. This positive trend is primarily due to an improvement in activities in Western Europe.

  • No change in full-year outlook: net revenue is expected to increase to approx. DKK 39bn (DKK 38.0bn in 2005) and operating profit is expected to rise by approx. DKK 250m to approx. DKK 3,550m (DKK 3,306m in 2005). Carlsberg's share of net profit is expected to rise by approx. 10% (DKK 1,110m in 2005).
